The included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective from 1.0 - 3.0' (0.3 - 0.9 m) away from your subject in clear conditions. To achieve the best results, an external underwater strobe is recommended. This will bring out the natural color of your subject and reduce the illumination of particles suspended in the water, known as backscatter. An optional Ikelite AutoFlash AF35 can provide additional light with easy automatic exposure. You may also use an optional DS Substrobe with EV Manual Controller for more power and wider angle of coverage (strobes not included).
