I purchased this external floppy drive because my newer PC does not have one and I still have a number of floppy discs around. I still need one on occassion.
It does what it is supposed to do so I would have to say it's a great product.
My newer Dell PC would not recognize the drive, gave it a generic name and a code 10. It would not start. I hooked it up to one of my slightly older PC's and started right away [sort of jump started it]. When I re-connected it to my original PC, it recognized it right away and started fine. Been great ever since.
Incidentally, although it is labeled as a Sabrent, my SIW specs program shows it as made by "Teac".

No instructions in the box. As a result, when Windows XP refers to "TEAC USB UF000x.USB Device," not mentioned anywhere on the B&H website or the box, you have to go hunting on the internet. Sabrent website has a "Drivers and Manuals" page that provides no info re drivers for this device but does provide a link to a manual that does identify the device as a "TEAC." Has not worked yet but I will try 6/21/06 update to driver shown as 7/1/2001 in "Properties" before I give up.
Device is lightweight, compact and arrived much earlier then the 10 days projected.

I had several 3.5" floppies with photos and no way to view or download. The photo shop wanted $15.00 per DVD to transfer. With this item no delay, editing that I want and renaming capability.

A well designed and useful little drive that allows one to access to data saved years ago. Well worth the price, even if only randomly used.
