The Monotron DELAY Analog Ribbon Synthesizer by Korg is a pocket sized, all-analog synthesizer optimized for sound effects with a miniature ribbon keyboard, built-in speaker, headphone jack and 1/8" (3.5 mm) mini Aux input. In addition to its analog oscillator, filter and LFO, it also provides an essential Space Delay for swooping, cosmic type sounds.
Play the keyboard with a swiping finger motion across the ribbon and discover a wealth of possibilities for performances, DJs and entertainment. The Monotron DELAY features the same analog (VCF) filter found in the legendary Korg MS-10 and MS-20; and the VCF and LFO sections provide seemingly limitless programming. Its portable, pocket-sized design can be taken nearly anywhere and powered with just two AAA batteries.| Synthesizer Structure |

Comments about Korg Monotron DELAY Analog Ribbon Synthesizer:
This is probably the funnest [$] I've ever spent. It is a simple and straight-forward analogue synthesizer with a delay. The ribbon spans the entire range of the LFO, so don't expect to be able to play specific notes like on the Monotron Duo.I would definitely recommend adding some rubber feet to the unit as it tends to slide around otherwise.

This mini synth is fun right out of the box! If you plug it into a stereo or monitors the sound spectrum really opens up.

Comments about Korg Monotron DELAY Analog Ribbon Synthesizer:
I knew going in that the Korg Monotron Delay would be somewhat limited considering its diminutive size and [$] price tag. What I didn't expect was the monstrous sound that comes out of this thing! Adding delay to the existing Monotron sound makes for some interesting effects and sound possibilities (think 50's/60's sci-fi). The added 1/8" input jack further enhances its functionality but allowing you to run audio through the delay as well. For music-making, a pen or something else that has a smaller tip is necessary since using your finger on the ribbon-controller is difficult for precise control of pitch. All in all it's lots of fun and is well worth the money. I think the Monotron would be a fantastic way to introduce children to the possibilities of synthesis. Man, I wish I had something like this when I was a kid!
