With a high-quality solid-state drive installed in the Ninja, you're set for high-impact videography – this drive has no moving parts, so you can feel safe in the security of your HD video files. When you're done shooting, install the drive in the included Docking Station and connect it to your Windows or Mac computer via USB 2/3 or FireWire. Your ProRes files will be ready to import directly into any compatible nonlinear editing program.
In addition, the kit supplies a 3' HDMI cable and five additional Master Caddies to the two that already come with the Samurai, so you'll have a jump-start on acquiring protective vessels for your sure-to-expand library of hot-swappable drives.
Note! Not recommended as a solution for recording the live HDMI output of DSLR cameras. The HDMI output on cameras such as the Canon 5D/7D/T2i and Panasonic GH2 is intended for monitoring, not recording.
In order for LANC control to work it must be looped through to the camera with a cable such as MA522SCA.
