Comments about Ion Slides 2 PC mkIII Slide & Film Scanner:
Selected this product to scan slides with my Mac OS X (10.6.8). Product description says it's supposed to work with mac OS X systems, but it didn't, even with the driver updates. I worked with a couple of the vendor's techs -- the first one told me to use an incorrect driver and the second one suggested that, since it wouldn't work on my mac, that I try another computer. I'd recommend you try another product (and a different company since their tech support was (nice, but) disappointing. I returned the product to B&H for a refund.

Comments about Ion Slides 2 PC mkIII Slide & Film Scanner:
I bought this to convert all my mom's slides before she loses her eyesight. Slides 2 PC is well worth the money and very handy once you get the hang of it. If you've got boxes of old slides plan on many a night to scan and organize them. Pre-organizing and putting the slides all in the same direction before you start will help. The lens cleaning brush is very helpful if your slides have been uncovered in a box in the closet collecting dust. Have fun.

As soon as I got it. I ripped through all my parents slides from 1954. Easy to load slides and easy to color correct those old slides.

Comments about Ion Slides 2 PC mkIII Slide & Film Scanner:
I needed to scan about 1500 of my parents old slides, some of them more than 60-years old. It was really simple to use, didn't even need to read the instructions to use. The software did a decent job of self-correcting for exposure problems or I could also adjust manually. The slide feeder was a definate plus over other scanners I was looking at. Only took 10 or 15 seconds to auto-adjust and scan each slide. Resolution was good for what I needed, about 1MB per image, since the film was old I didn't need maximum quality. When I played the DVD on my 46-inch TV later I have to say they looked really good. For best results I needed to clean the dust off the screen every time I used it. I found a dry Q-tip worked well. Only problem is now that I scanned every slide we own and I will likely never take slide or film photos ever again I doubt I will ever use this scanner again and I've only owned it a week. I considered this when I was buying it, but it was worth the $ even though I don't need it anymore. Maybe I'll re-gift it.

Comments about Ion Slides 2 PC mkIII Slide & Film Scanner:
This scanner is terrible. The sensor is one straight out of a cheap digital camera. The image quality that this scanner produces is absolutely worthless. I will let the images do the talking...
