The HighPoint RocketRAID 2640 x4 SGL 4 Channel PCI-Express x4 SAS RAID Controller is ideal for data-intensive applications such as tiered storage environments (disk-to-disk), security and surveillance, video editing and digital content creation. It supports both SAS and SATA 3 GB/s drives on the same controller that maintains configuration optimization.
The RocketRAID 2640 x4 SGL 4 Channel PCI-Express x4 SAS RAID Controller supports either 15,000 RPM SAS hard drives for performance or lower cost SATA hard drives for capacity. It also supports up to 4 SAS/SATA HDDs and SSDs in a variety of RAID and non-RAID configurations that includes single disk, JBOD, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 and all the major PC operating systems including Windows 7/2008/Vista, Linux distributions, Mac OS X and FreeBSD.
