Comments about Marshall Electronics M-CT7 7" Portable Camera Top Field Monitor With Battery Plate/ Battery/ Charger:
I'm using this via HDMI for a DSLR and via RCA input for a camcorder. Since it's a standard def picture on the camcorder, it's helpful for focussing but I still need to check the camcorder's built-in monitor for the focus assist features as well.
It is nice to have a larger picture for framing and to have the option of moving the monitor off the camera for interviews.
It's more helpful on the DSLR because it's a hi def picture.

I use the moniter for filming high school football and lacrosse games, and it exceeded the expectations i had for it. All of the needed hardware and cables are included, and the setup is easy. I cannot think of any downside to the moniter.

Comments about Marshall Electronics M-CT7 7" Portable Camera Top Field Monitor With Battery Plate/ Battery/ Charger:
I bought this M-CT7 7" unit after returning a malfunctioning 7" Ikan monitor and the picture quality is great! We're using this M-CT7 7" on a HPX 170 with the RCA out put and have had no problems so far. The build quality seems very sturdy and Marshall included all the needed cables.

Comments about Marshall Electronics M-CT7 7" Portable Camera Top Field Monitor With Battery Plate/ Battery/ Charger:
I was originally looking at monitors in the $400 range and found the M-LCD7 from Marshall which had good reviews... HOWEVER I prefered the styling of the M-CT7 (Yea... I know that should not make a difference - but it does). It had not been reviewed so I took a chance based on reviews of other Marshall products. Thankfully, this little guy is all it says it is and great for the price point. No more bending over and going blind looking in my little range-finder. One of my best investments yet!
