The U24E-XH71 11.6" Notebook Computer from ASUS reaches new performance heights with a super light and super slim design that has about the same footprint as a standard A4 page. This ASUS notebook is portable and easy to carry wherever you go without cutting corners on power and performance.
The 11.6" widescreen display is backlit with LED lamps, which use less power and provide better image quality than their CCFL counterparts. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is also the standard for HDTVs. The 1366 x 768 native resolution is supported integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000.
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.7GHz Intel Core i7-2620M processor. It also has 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 5400rpm hard drive, a 4-in-1 media card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, an integrated webcam and microphone. Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

I settled on this laptop after a lot of research and it is just perfect for my needs. Above all it is light, compact, user friendly and fast, fast, fast. Display is fine for my every day use and sound, although not brilliant, is perfectly OK for movies and the like. A real bonus is that this machine barely raises a sweat. I can keep it on for most of the day and it only ever gets slightly warm to the touch - and only on the underside. Battery is great - again, I have had the macine going most of the day without having to charge. More than pleased to recommend the U24E to anyone wanting a small value for money workhorse.
