Who wouldn't want a camera with a 16x Leica zoom lens, 1080i HD video, optical image stabilization, and built-in HDR and panorama shooting? But, be realistic--where are you gonna find such a thing? Right here, as it turns out: the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 Digital Camera (Black).
The ZS15 has an ultra wide-angle 24mm (35mm equivalent) lens, naturally. Plus, the 16x super zoom gives you an extremely long 384mm telephoto lens. And that 24-384mm lens is made by Leica. There's a high res 12.1MP MOS sensor, full 1920 x 1080 60i high definition video with Dolby sound, and it focuses in a lightning-fast 0.1 second. There's even 32x Intelligent Zoom that extends your lens to an astounding 768mm ultra telephoto.
POWER O.I.S. image stabilization keeps your images sharp and clear, whether you're shooting in dim light, taking extreme close-up macro shots, or using the longest telephoto setting. There's even an Active Mode that helps to keep your videos from jumping around. The Venus Engine processor and Intelligent Noise Reduction System deliver the best image quality possible. A host of creative functions and modes like Intelligent HDR (High Dynamic Range), Panorama Shot, burst shooting of 10 frames per second at full 12.1PM resolution, and color modes galore will help you make every photo and every video you create an inspiration.
Intelligent ISO control/motion detection and AF tracking for moving subjects make this one of the easiest cameras ever to use. A 3D photo mode lets you explore the 3D world with your photos and the Handheld Night Shot mode allows you to take gorgeous photos at night--without a tripod! The large, bright 3" 460K-dot LCD makes composing and viewing your images a treat.
All of this comes in a compact package that measures just 4.1 x 2.2 x 1.3" and weighs only 6.5 oz! Your Lumix DMC-ZS15 is ready when you are.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 Digital Camera (Black):
I bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS15 (TZ25) camera to replace a five-year-old camera with a narrower zoom range and fewer functions, after reading reviews and satisfactory comments from users. I find it a considerable improvement, providing very good pictures in Auto mode, and a range of PASM settings for further enhancement. However, as might be expected from such a small, low cost model, some of the results can be improved by post processing. I find the ZS15 suits my needs for an ever ready graphic diary of daily events, travel and family pictures, document copying, and close up workPro:• HDR mode provides good low light capture• Telephoto shots aided by excellent image stabilisation• Full 1080/60i HD video with zoom and continuous autofocus, in AVCHD or MPEG-4• For such a small model, the 24-384 mm zoom range covers most occasionsCon:• Like many current cameras, it takes some time and effort to learn all the ZS15's range of functions, so a printed manual, with a comprehensive index, would be far more convenient than the supplied CD. The brief manual provided with the camera only covers basic functions.• Only Windows software is provided on the CD-ROM. • No external battery charger. Charging is done in camera, and takes about 4.5 hours.• Unlike Panasonic's LX5, alternative formats are achieved by cropping sensor coverage.• Settings on the shiny mode dial can be difficult to read in bright surroundings• Full resolution bursts restricted to only 4 frames.(N.B. B&H took only four and a half days to ship it to me in Australia)

We are using these cameras to view machinery in action at The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope on the summit of Mauna Kea in Hawaii. We have set it up to be controlled here at our headquarters and can take pictures of processes happening on top the mountain. Love it.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 Digital Camera (Black):
I'm not a techy person, just point and shoot and it's been great, took over 300 inside photos with first battery charge. Zoom is great. Detail is awesome. Only Con I have would like the body to be a little larger, afraid I'm going to drop it sometimes.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 Digital Camera (Black):
I walked into B&H looking for a good point and shoot as I was going to a meet and greet for a concert in a few hours and my old one died. After looking at a lot of them, this one fit the bill: great in low light (IS), good MP (12.1), good zoom (15x)and right in the price I was looking for. I didn't have a ton of time to practice on it before the concert, but the shots I got from the concert came out much beyond my expectation. Clear and sharp, definitely worked well in low light, relatively fast focus and shutter. My biggest complaint so far is that I found the menus not necessarily straight forward, but I suspect the more I use it, the easier it will be.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 Digital Camera (Black):
My ZS15 replaced a TZ4 which, in turn replaced a TZ3. The TZ4 was stolen while the TZ3 was beaten to death on bicycle tours. Both of my TZs were excellent travel zooms, but the ZS15 is a much better camera. The IS is simply amazing. I routinely hand hold shots at near 800 mm with no loss of image quality! The new fast focusing is also a huge improvement. I've been able get get many shots with this camera that I couldn't have gotten with the TZs.

I have used in my life great cameras and won Photo Exibitions using a Leica M3 and an Hasselblad, cameras that now are "antique".
The LUMIX DMC-ZS15 has Leica lenses and that explain the great resolution, luminosity, sharp images, even in low-light situations.
I am going on vacation next week and I am looking forward to use it very much on the sea, on the beaches and for portraits.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 Digital Camera (Black):
Purchased the camera as a handy device for travel. It has a nice zoom (16X) and wide angel (24mm). Close up features are nice for flowers and tiny creatures. I've been pleased with the range of options and overall quality as a point and shoot. It doesn't really have the refinement of a DSLR. Focusing can be annoying. And the delay will cause you to miss the critical instant when photographing people. But those are to be expected with a P&S. Would have liked to have purchased the ZS20, but needed it in a hurry and ithe ZS20 had not shipped yet.
