The Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer from Epson combines fast 2.8 ppm ISO print speeds (black and color) with Epson's MicroPiezo inkjet technology and Claria high-definition ink to produce high-quality long-lasting photos. The printer's wide carriage lets you print large photos - up to 13x44" right from your own computer.
Thanks to the printer's compatibility with a wide range of media (including photo luster, photo glossy, photo matte, and presentation paper), you'll be able to print what you need in-house, right away. In addition to printing on standard media, you can print directly on inkjet-printable CDs & DVDs. Easily create your own custom CDs and avoid the hassle of having to attach a disc label. The printer even comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements so you can edit and fine-tune your photos before printing.
Besides a standard USB connection, you can connect to the printer wirelessly via Wi-Fi from a computer on your wireless network. Instead of buying a printer for each user, save resources - and space - with one printer for your whole network. Additionally, Epson Connect makes it easy to print from a wide range of devices including Smartphones such as an iPhone or Android phone and tablet computers such as the iPad. The front-facing USB port can be used to print directly from any PictBridge-enabled device such as a digital camera

Comments about Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer:
I am a high school photo teacher and I needed a good but inexpensive photo printer for my first year students and this printer is outstanding for the price. Print quality is great. The only negitive is the size of the ink cart.

Comments about Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer:
I got this printer to do my portfolio on 11 x 17 size. I am a graphic designer and I thought this printer did an amazing job. The borderless printing was so beautiful and I can't wait to now use it to print out large size photos to frame and display in my apartment. I found the ink lasted through a reasonable amount of prints. The wireless was easy to set up, but it did ask to connect via cable in order to set up the wifi...so if you don't purchase the cable separately then I don't know how you can do the initial set up. It's only like $5 so it's good to have anyway in case your internet goes out.

Comments about Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer:
Used primarily for photos and it puts my Canon i9000 to shame. I have disposed of the Canon. The Artisan also prints on CDs and DVDs which is why I had a HP 5460. I gave the HP away. I feel as though I'll never buy anything but an Epson.
