Comments about HP / Hewlett Packard ENVY 17-3070NR 17.3" Notebook Computer:
LOve this machine!! It is super fast and perfect for what I need as a photographer to process my images!!!! I was so surprised it came with PSE9! When I started it up, it was as an icon, so I was THRILLED it was already installed...Only thing that is iffy, is the burning of CDS...it runs loud, and it scares me a bit thinking that it is struggling to burn the CD?? But I'm sure it is supposed to do that...I highly recommend this!!!

Comments about HP / Hewlett Packard ENVY 17-3070NR 17.3" Notebook Computer:
I'm a digital music producer and 8gb isn't enough for my plugins. Try 12gb or 16gb which is this CPU max. The keypad is irritating, but the keyboard feels good when typing. The reason for 3 stars, its suppose to be a producer laptop and ready for any hardware out there that is for music, but is doesn't have a firewire port or a express card slot. Most of the best interface out there is firewire. If this laptop is for music producer like the retailer calm, then I don't recommand this product for music producing. It's giving you grade B hardware when you want to use grade A hardware on your laptop.

Comments about HP / Hewlett Packard ENVY 17-3070NR 17.3" Notebook Computer:
I'm using it mainly for developing Java apps.
It is a very powerful machine, has a quality display (very nice resolution - 1920), good sound (i like a lot the wheel for volume).
The battery has an autonomy of 4+ hours.
I love it!

Comments about HP / Hewlett Packard ENVY 17-3070NR 17.3" Notebook Computer:
If you're looking for a laptop that does a great job at everything, Envy 17 does well. However, if you are looking for a heavy gaming machine I would avoid this laptop. Even though the graphics card installed is a fast mid-range level performer, the driver support for it is lacking at the moment. Hence, rendering it incapable for some heavy duty games at decent settings.
