Through a unique collaboration with music industry innovator Dr. Dre and InterScope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine, Hewlett Packard presents the Pavilion dm4-3090se 14" Beats Edition Notebook Computer (Black). With a brushed aluminum design in black coupled with a soft-touch finish along the palm rest, this HP Beats Edition notebook takes center stage. The full size keyboard is backlit in Beats signature red to add to the sleek design. Built-in Beats Audio and integrated speakers produce amazing sound with studio-quality music so you can listen to songs the way the artist intended you to.
The 14" HD+ BrightView LED-backlit display provides exceptional brightness and color gamut for optimal image quality. It boosts a 1600 x 900 native resolution, thanks to the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000. With a VGA port and a HDMI port, you'll be able to output video signals to a larger external display, such as a monitor or an HDTV. If you would rather go wirelessly, built-in Intel WiDi technology enables you to wirelessly stream your music, photos and videos and other PC content to an HDTV. A compatible TV adapter is sold separately and is required.
This system is powered by a dual-core 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2450M processor. It also has 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a total of 520GB (20GB mSATA SSD + 500GB 7200rpm HDD) of hard drive storage, a SuperMulti DVD burner, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with WiDi support, a digital media card reader, integrated webcam and microphone. Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

Its a good looking computer and I love the red backlit keyboard. Build-wise, feels a little flimsy and the keypad is a bit touchy, but the battery life is good,its reasonably light and the screen is fantastic. Bright, clear, high res. I use it mainly for school work, internet surfing, movies and some creative work- Photoshop, that kind of thing. Had no problems with it, its nice and fast and can handle working several programs simultaneously. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

There are some issues i stilll have with certian settings but that's probably part of the learning curve (1 week and counting). I'm extremely ahppy wiht my purchase and its def a step up from my lenovo of 5 years ago
