The Pavilion dv6-6c40us 15.6" Notebook Computer (Steel Gray) from Hewlett Packard is a portable entertainment PC designed for people who want to bring their media with them on the road. The 15.6" HD widescreen display features LED backlighting and HP BrightView technology. The 1366 x 768 native resolution is powered by integrated AMD Radeon HD 66620G graphics.
Beats Audio is exclusive to HP notebook computers and is provided through integrated quad speakers. The rear pair of speakers can tilt forward to kick the sound right at you for the ultimate listening experience. Beats Audio is unlike other laptop speakers because it can eliminate electronic background noise, go from whisper quiet to blasting loud without flattening out the sound, add powerful amplifiers for full-bodied sound and a bass boost button to pump up volume even more.
This system is powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz AMD A8-3520M processor. The processor can be accelerated up to a speed of 2.5GHz for added performance. It also has 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB 5400rpm hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, a digital media card reader, integrated webcam and microphone. Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

This computer has 6GB Ram and 750 Hard Drive -- a lot of power for the price. It came with basic Word 2010 which included Word and Excel -- that was great as that is all I needed. It also has six (6) hours of battery life. I just added my own Norton and was good to go. Although this is hawked as an entertainment/games type computer, I bought it for basic computing and video watching. It has a lovely high definition screen. The mouse pad is easy to use and soft to the touch.
