BosStrap One Piece Sling Strap (Black)
The black One Piece Sling Strap from BosStrap is a very comfortable shooting and carrying strap that works via a nickel plated fitting that slides along the 64” BosStrap. The 3/8" wide, 8" long tail connects the sliding fitting to the left lug of your camera so the tail does not interfere with camera controls. Since the attachment point is the camera strap lug, the tripod socket will always be available. The tail cannot become accidentally detached from the camera because there is no releasable connector.
The One Piece keeps its metal components to a minimum making it extremely light at less than 3.8 oz. There are no special fittings to be dealt with - no buckles or screws that can damage the surface of your camera. Yet, even though it is so incredibly lightweight, it can handle a load of up to 60 lb - certainly much more than the average camera rig weighs.
The One Piece is also valuable in that it frees up both hands - and is workable for either right or left-handed photographers. When not used, it keeps your camera safely at your side ready to be rapidly slid up into shooting position. The 1.5" wide seat-belt grade webbing evenly distributes the weight on your shoulder - and there is no extra shoulder pad that can keep slipping out of position. When you're not shooting with it, you can neatly wrap it around your camera lens for easy storage.

I spent some time researching the various available sling straps and chose the BOS Strap. My main concern was a secure attachment to my camera and I find the BosStrap satisfactory. Another advantage is the strap uses the strap attachment point on the camera and not the tripod mount. The strap is comfortable and well made.
One thing I find annoying is when the camera is hanging by my side it tends to bounce around more than I like but I suppose that is true of any sling strap. I'm using this strap with a Sony DSLT which has an infra red (IR) sensor near the eye piece. It switches the camera from live view on the LCD to the electronic view finder (EVF) when you put the camera near your face. When the camera is bouncing around on my hip while walking it may not enter sleep mode and continue to drain the battery because the IR sensor senses my body and enables/disables the EVF. My work around is to hold the body until it falls asleep and then there is no issue.

The One Piece strap itself doesn't seem very well designed. It wasn't easy to adjust to the right size.

Any sling strap makes a difference so big that any photographer should give one a try. BOS Strap differs from most of them, being very lightweight, without any padded parts, pockets and other stuff making a strap bulky, yet is very comfortable to wear, to use and to store (around lens). Another important difference is it connects not to tripod socket but camera's left strap eye, which makes it more comfortable to use and strap never comes into your way should you shoot vertically or horisontally. It is also long enough to fit the largest bodies. The only small minus is company logo in bright yellow, though not very big. I plan to color it with water resistant black marker.

Use while shooting at hockey games or other sporting events. Makes using my Canon 5DII with 70-200 lens a snap. Less neck strain after three periods of hockey. Also very handy while doing walks about NYC. The direction made a snap to attach.

I was looking for a strap to put over my shoulder instead of around my neck. The canon strap that came with my new camera I just couldn't get to do this comfortably. I looked at other side straps but I liked this one because it did not attach where the tripod does. The strap is made of seat belt material and is very comfortable and very strong at the same time. It is also easy to adjust and it is very secure on the strap. I have used it with the kit lens and a telephoto lens. It was also a great price - way less then other straps of this kind. I like the way that it doesn't get in the way when taking horizontal or vertical pictures - or on the tripod. It slides up easily and doesn't get tangled either. Great!!

I use this strap with a Sony A77 with the 16-50mm kit lens. The kit lens is a heavy piece of glass and the strap seems to be very adequate for the weight. It's easily adjustable and comfortable. It would be nice if the strap came with a sturdy but small clip to easily detach it from the camera. I have attached a small swivel clip to the strap so I can remove it easily when I shoot macros. So far I like it much better than a standard neck strap.
