The N53SL-DS71 15.6" Notebook Computer (Black) from ASUS is a 15.6" notebook computer that is perfect for day-to-day use. The computer features an enhanced Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio system, which is powered by ASUS SonicMaster technology. Graphics are handled by an nVIDIA GeForce GT 630M graphics card with 2GB of dedicated memory.
The computer features a USB 3.0 port, which is up to ten times faster than USB 2.0. It allows you to use the latest external storage devices that support the USB 3.0 protocol, without having to add an expansion card.
The system is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Intel Core i7-2670QM processor, which can be overclocked up to 3.1GHz thanks to the Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. I bought this laptop for work. Had great specs and it seemed like a great lil machine. With in 5 min of using the computer I noticed the touchpad wasn't working right at all. Freezing, skipping, locking up for 2-6 seconds at a time, having to make 5 up strokes to even make the cursor move an inch. Had to go buy a mouse immediately to even use it. Contacted BnH to RMA it and get a different model since research has show its known that this touchpad doesn't work and all the retailers are returning them to ASUS. BnH said they would only exchange it for that exact model, which means I'm pretty much stuck with a [$] paperweight/desktop. Avoid this laptop at all cost, just go somewhere you can test it and return it with no issues if its broken.
