The LG Electronics External eSATA 12x Super Multi LightScribe Blu-ray Disc Rewriter features eSATA and USB connectivity with 12x BD-R write speeds. You can simply plug in and record up to 50 GB of files, photos or business documents onto a dual layer BD-R disc. LightScribe offers an added feature of creating customized labels that are etched on to a special coated LightScribe discs (sold separately). With Blu-ray, DVD and CD burning capabilities, the External eSATA / USB 2.0 12x Blu-ray Disc Rewriter gives you the option to choose the media best suited for each task.

I bought this bluray writer to copy ACHD video from my SCHD cards to Bluray disks. THe writing works great and the disks play back on this product. I have a Sony 8 year old bluray player and have not been able to get the disks to play back on it. I have also copied DVD disks with this product with no problem.
