Comments about Hitachi 4TB Deskstar 3.5" SATA III Internal Hard Drive:
I came across the B&H website while looking for a high capacity SATA to install in a NAS.
The 4TB Hitachi looked perfect and even though it is not the 7600rpm version I went ahead with the purchase since in my situation I was looking for affordable raw capacity to serve in a streaming server configuration.
B&H Delivered very promptly to Australia - just using the standard shipping option. (You Americans don't realize how lucky you are with shipping speed & pricing!!)
The two 4TB Deskstar drives were really well packaged, and installed seamlessly into my Synology 712+ NAS
Up and going in under 5mins.
The disks have been performing brilliantly in a RAID configuration for three weeks now.
I had heard of B&H for camera gear and had visited their store in NYC when visiting. I must say I never appreciated that they handled all these other pieces of gear - competitively priced and quickly delivered
