The Series 7 NP700Z5A-S06US 15.6" Notebook Computer from Samsung features an innovative design with a sleek aluminum build and a stunning screen. With a thickness of less than an inch, this Samsung notebook is one of the world's thinnest quad-core notebook computers.
The 15.6" HD+ widescreen display is backlit with LED lamps, which use less power and provide better picture quality than their CCFL counterparts. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a matte finish. The 1600 x 900 native resolution is powered by an AMD Radeon HD 6490 graphics card with 512MB of dedicated memory.
The system is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Intel Core i7-2675QM processor. It has 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB 5400rpm hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, 802.11/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, an integrated webcam and microphone as well as built-in stereo speakers. Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

use it to store/download pictures and for connecting to the internet, checking emails while travelling
The unit is fairly fast and easy to use. No real problems connecting via WiFi or ethernet.
The screen is more difficult to see than I expected, you have to set the angle very precisely. off-angle viewing is not good. Once the angle is set, the display is quite sharp and colors well balanced.
The mic/headphone is on one jack - have not been able to find a headset that fits and I didnt want to waste a USB port for a headset. There are only 3 ports and I am already using one of them for a wireless mouse.
There is no eject function key - to eject a CD you have to go to Windows Explorer, open the drive and select the eject function.

I bought the Samsung NP700Z5A to use as a photo editing laptop because of it large, matte screen, dedicated graphics memory, large hard disk, RAM and processor speed. It works great! The Samsung system management utilities make this machine even easier to use. It is easy to customize and there are lots of options, if desired. Plus it's thin and has long battery life- 6 to 7 hours.
