The Panasonic 16GB HC-V100M HD Camcorder is capable of shooting 1920 x 1080/60i high-definition video using the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format. It's also capable of shooting digital still JPEG images in a range of resolutions and megapixels. You can record your footage to the camcorder's 16GB built-in flash memory or to its SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot, which can support up to 64GB memory cards. The HC-V100M features a convenient 2.7" LCD display monitor with control features for recording and playback. It also features a mini HDMI output for playing back footage in Full HD on your compatible HDTV.
The HC-V100M has a high sensitivity MOS image sensor, interlaced recording ability at 60 frames per second (fps) and progressive recording ability at 960 x 540 resolution (30 fps). The camcorder also has a lengthy list of shot-enhancing and flexibility-furthering features. This list includes Power Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) with Active Mode, 34x Optical Zoom, 42x Intelligent Zoom and 32.5mm wide-angle Panasonic lens. It's also equipped with 2.1 megapixel still image capture while recording and iA (Intelligent Auto). With recording features like this, you'll be able to produce beautiful HD images/videos with incredible color, detail and flowing beauty.
When you're done shooting and ready to edit, the HC-V100M comes with the HD Writer LE 1.1 (Windows only) software for editing, archiving and sharing your footage. It offers help for uploading to social media sites like YouTube and Facebook. Plus, when you're ready, the mini-HDMI port provides an uncompressed, Full HD video and audio link to your HDTV. Using the HDMI interface also ensures that the cameras two-channel AAC or Dolby Digital audio is transferred to your home theater surround sound, giving you high-definition audio to match your HD video. You can even burn your footage to DVD or Blu-ray by purchasing the proper DVD or Blu-ray Disc writer.
