The Nikon Coolpix L26 Digital Camera (Black) boasts a 16.1 effective MP CCD sensor for superior image quality. Nikon's EXPEED C2 image processing engine provides speedy, faithful image rendering, while ensuring optimum speed and efficiency. The camera is equipped with a 5x optical zoom NIKKOR glass lens with a 4.6 - 23.0mm (26 - 130mm 35mm equivalent) focal length for capturing both wide angle and telephoto shots. You can get great close-ups from as little as 4.0" (10.2 cm) away from your subject. A large 3.0" (7.6 cm) LCD monitor gives you ample viewing room for focusing and playback. The L26 captures high definition (HD) 720p video at the touch of a button.
An intuitive menu makes this camera an ideal choice for rookies, but that's not to say it won't be a fine companion to more experienced users. Your family and friends will surely appreciate your making them look their best with Nikon's in-camera Smart Portrait System, which is capable of automatically retouching and enhancing photos. The system features Smile Timer, a mode that automatically recognizes when your subject is smiling and releases the shutter at that time, ensuring that you don't miss the moment.
Enjoy various color options, including standard, vivid and cyanotype, helping you add a touch of creativity to your next photo or video project. Take advantage of a total of 18 easy to use Scene modes, which automatically optimize camera settings to achieve the best possible results in a given situation.
