Nord Piano 2 HA88

The Piano 2 HA88 by Nord is a professional, 88 key stage piano with hammer action, weighted keys and over 1000 high-end piano and synth sounds from Nord's exclusive sound libraries. It offers several new features that its older brother the Nord Piano didn't have including Split and Layer functionality, Long Release, Sample Library Memory, Transpose plus Stereo Auto-wah, Stereo Phaser, Delay, Tube Distortion and more.

The piano section comes loaded with a wide selection of Grand, Upright and Electric Pianos plus Clavinet and Harpsichord sounds. All sounds have been recorded using Nord's state-of-the-art sampling techniques capturing the subtle nuances of each instrument. The entire Nord Piano Library is included on a DVD and additional sounds can be downloaded for free on nord.com. With the Nord Sound Manager, you can simply drag and drop new sounds and load them directly to the Piano 2 HA88 replacing or adding to the onboard sounds.

Also included is the Nord Triple Pedal which offers dynamic sustain with half-pedaling and release and catch functionality plus soft and sustenuto pedals. Long Release adds a slightly longer release to the tone which is ideal when playing legato. Advanced String Resonance reproduces string resonance at fundamental or harmonic frequencies when multiple notes are played on the Upright and Grand piano sounds.

The Sample Synth section supports the extensive Nord Sample library containing over 1000 high-end synth sounds from leading sample producers as well as exclusively licensed sounds from Mellotron and Chamberlin. Like the Nord Piano Library, new sample synth sounds can be downloaded for free from the manufacturer's website and can be easily managed with the Nord Sample Editor.
