The Tripp Lite Network Cable Continuity Tester is a multi-functional device compatible with Cat5, Cat6, Phone and Coax cable assemblies. It can test wiring continuity and identify mis-wires, short circuits and open circuits. The tester consists of two pieces, a transmitter and a receiver, and also includes two BNC-F coax converters and a coax terminator. It includes a handy vinyl pouch for storage when not in use. Power is supplied by a 9V battery, which is sold separately.
