The 701HDV Head With MVT502AM Tripod System and Carrying Bag from Manfrotto is lightweight, compact and amazingly sturdy. The design offers the stability of a telescopic twin-leg tripod with great rigidity, but with the ease of use of a single leg tripod. Aluminum legs, technopolymers and die castings ensure added strength and stability. Unlike the 547B tripod it replaces, the MVT502AM folds down to an amazing 29" long including the head, making it a great choice for backpacking or as a carry-on option.
The 701HDV fluid head was developed specifically to support the latest prosumer and professional light compact HD camcorders. It delivers improved ergonomics with locks and knobs that allow for a more solid grip and better control, a better fluidity due to improved internal fluid cartridges, a double pan-bar rosette and a bigger sliding plate to optimize the position of the camera considering its center of gravity. A sturdy carrying case for storage and transport is included.
