The Adobe SpeedGrade CS6 for Mac is a color grading software featuring the GPU-accelerated Lumetri Deep Color Engine, which uses 32-bit floating-point color science and supports many formats, unlimited layer-based grading, real-time reframing and resizing, and a stereoscopic 3D workflow (you can deliver stereo 3D content for every project). Professionally designed presets will help you get started and film style filters that mimic the chemical processes formerly used in film labs will let you quickly apply celluloid-type looks, namely, bleach bypass, desaturated looks, two-strip or three-strip film processing retro looks, and day-for-night. You can go a step further and see how these filters were designed and create your own off of them. SpeedGrade also lets you add audio tracks to your timeline for grading and client presentations, and you can render the audio with your project for final delivery.
SpeedGrade's Lumetri Engine is entirely GPU accelerated and will perform best on a system with at least 1GB of VRAM and an Adobe-recommended NVIDIA Quadro 4000 graphics card. SpeedGrade only supports 64-bit operating systems in order to optimize performance, especially as regards working with HD and higher resolution video.

Lumetri Deep Color Engine, the advanced color science at the heart of SpeedGrade CS6, works in 32-bit floating-point format, giving you maximum precision for color grading RAW and high dynamic range (HDR) content. You can pull details from blacks and highlights that might otherwise be lost.
Real-Time, Layer-Based Grading
Build up your grades logically as layers of color corrections, masks, and effects, with lookup tables (LUTs) applied. Use as many layers as you need and all your adjustments will be combined into a single operation for optimal processing efficiency. (Real-time performance requires an Adobe-approved GPU, such as the NVIDIA Quadro 4000, 5000, or 6000.)

Crafting Stereoscopic Space
With your footage correctly matched and positioned, you are set to work creatively with stereoscopic material. Parallax controls will allow you to move the depth placement of your shots. Use keyframing to adjust depth interactively through shots. Enhance cuts between shots by creating "handshakes" between characters or objects within scenes. And add floating windows to hide edge violations.
Extensive Display Support
Play stereoscopic footage on single-display and dual-display setups. SpeedGrade supports a variety of active shutter glasses, passive systems using line-by-line polarization, and others such as mirror display setups and theater systems, including Xpand 3D, Dolby 3D, and RealD Z screen. (SpeedGrade CS6 requires Windows 7 and an NVIDIA Quadro SDI graphics card for some stereo 3D display technologies.)
Automatic Stereo 3D Sequence Loading
Drop a sequence onto the timeline and SpeedGrade will automatically load the corresponding sequence for the other eye. SpeedGrade can use any standard naming convention for right eye and left eye streams, or you can create your own custom stereoscopic file-naming system.
Instant Flip or Flop
Smart presets take the manual work out of flipping or flopping mirrored material, so that the right eye and left eye are always correctly oriented. SpeedGrade gives you renderless real-time flipping and flopping of your content so no additional rendering is required.
Multiple Viewing Options
Play right eye and left eye side by side with frame numbers and time codes to easily correct temporal offsets between the two streams. You can also use a split-screen view for comparisons or a difference matte to spot discrepancies. Hot keys allow you to switch on the fly between viewing modes.
Advanced Geometry Controls
Save time thanks to the SpeedGrade tracking engine, which automatically corrects geometrical alignment in your stereoscopic footage, including vertical offsets, rotation issues, and scale mismatches. All your geometric corrections are saved as metadata. Access the Stereo 3D geometry page to apply manual adjustments or to export the values for use in other applications.
SpeedGrade automatically matches the colorimetry between the right eye and left eye to help ensure color balance and correct differences that can arise from shooting with a beam splitter rig.
Grading in Stereo 3D
In SpeedGrade, color correction can be done while viewing your footage in stereo 3D space, or you can work with the right eye or the left eye view. You can deliver stereo 3D content for every project.
