The MuseBox Virtual Instrument and Effects Module from Peavey can apply effects to an instrument such as guitar or keyboards or can be used as a virtual instrument with a MIDI controller. Its input and output configuration allows you to play guitar through it, sing through it, or process your keyboards. You can also control its virtual instruments with an external MIDI controller. The MuseBox allows you to use virtual instruments and various effects on the road, at home, or in the studio.
Designed by Muse Research and Peavey, the MuseBox features a variety of input and output options. Two combination XLR and 1/4" mic/instrument preamps with individual volume control allow you to use the MuseBox as a vocal effects unit or guitar amp modeler. With four USB ports for connecting a mouse and a keyboard, and a five-pin MIDI input, the MuseBox accepts a variety of input options for your MIDI controller. The 1/4" stereo line inputs allow you to use the MuseBox with an external keyboard, drum machine, or CD/MP3 player.
The front-panel controls and LCD display provide quick access to the MuseBox's sounds. The unit features a VGA display output, allowing you to connect an external monitor for in-depth tweaking of parameters. The included MuseControl software also allows you to control individual plug-ins using your Mac or PC.
