The PRS Guitar Interface from Waves is an active direct box for guitar that is designed to output a clean and transparent guitar signal to your DAW or hardware recording device. It was engineered specifically to produce an undistorted guitar tone that is ideal for digital signal processing and re-amplification. The unit also has an on-board pre-amp, ground-lift, offers impedance matching, and it converts your unbalanced guitar signal to a balanced mic or line level signal. These features allow you to connect your guitar directly in to regular mic/line inputs on your mixer or A/D converter and help you to capture transparent direct recordings.
- Impedance Matching
- Allows for hi-Z electric guitar signals to be impedance matched to normal mic/line level inputs commonly found on mixing boards, digital recorders, and A/D converters used alongside DAW software
- Convert Unbalanced Guitar Signals to Balanced
- Converts unbalanced instrument level guitar signals to balanced mic or line level signals. This helps to make the guitar signal less prone to picking up noise and promotes higher fidelity
- Pre-Amplification
- The on-board pre-amp was engineered for recording a clear, undistorted guitar signal. Intended to level your signal without adding color and to prime for digital processing or re-amplification
