The Cowon 32GB Z2 Plenue Smart MP3 Player (Black) is an MP3 and video player with built-in FM radio, speaker and microphone. It can record via mic, line-in and FM radio. The Z2 is highlighted by a 3.7" AMOLED 800 x 480 LCD touch screen and 32GB NTSF flash storage capacity, which can be expanded to 32GB via its microSD card slot. You'll be able to store hours of music and video, plus pictures and text documents. Operation of the Z2 is simplified by the Android Gingerbread operating system.
The Z2 includes the integrated JetEffect 5 BBE+ audio enhancer, which affords outstanding audio control and quality. It features an EQ filter, sound refiner, Mach3Bass enhancer, 3D surround sound effect and MP enhance for enriching harmonics lost through compression. The JetEffect 5 BBE+ also features a stereo enhancer for enriched stereo sound and a reverb function that maximizes the natural and live presence of your music.
For video, the Z2 is equipped with a multi-video player with flash capabilities that can play TV shows, movies and flash games via the 3.7" touch screen display or through the HDMI TV-out feature for playback on a large screen in Full HD resolution. Viewing pictures and text document files is possible as well. There's also a built-in FM radio, which can be enjoyed live or through the FM recording feature. You can set several station presets and save your recorded FM broadcasts to enjoy over and over.
- Upgraded JetEffect 5
- Cowon's JetEffect 5, which boasts a world-wide reputation in sound effects, has been upgraded to take the multimedia viewing environment to the next level. It affords an improved sense of spatial effect and nine different Reverb Modes (Chamber, Room, Club, Hall, Auditorium, Cathedral, Stadium, Canyon, Long). Plus, the sound field presets are offered in a total of 48 different modes for customization according to your tastes (customized setup maintained throughout music, videos, FM radio). Features include EQ, EQ Filter, BBE+ technology, Stereo Enhance and Reverb
- EQ / EQ Filter
- The EQ Filter lets you adjust each band of the equalizer in detail. It gives you control over the frequency and width of each respective band
- BBE+
- BBE+ is a sound effect that refines the sound quality using Mach3Bass for deeper, tighter and more musically accurate bass frequency. It also features the 3D Surround three dimensional surround sound effect and MP Enhance, which restores and enhances the harmonics lost through compression
- SE & Reverb
- SE (Stereo Enhance) enriches the stereo sound, while Reverb maximizes the natural and live presence of the sound
- SE2 Earphones
- The SE2 earphones come with detailed tuning and high-end components to achieve a delicate balance of sounds. When paired with JetEffect 5, the SE2 earphones deliver vivid, lifelike audio reproduction
- Matrix Browser
- While listening to music, you can look through the album art using the Matrix Browser. You can drag the album art displayed on the screen to the left and to the right in order to move to the page or track info you want. When a song is selected from the page, the list of the tracks in the album is also displayed, making it easy to enjoy each track from any album of your choice
- Built-In Speaker
- The built-in speaker enables you to enjoy music outdoors with your friends or even watch a movie comfortably without earbuds
- FM Radio
- The Z2 lets you enjoy FM radio stations in the US, China, Japan or Europe. Plus, you can even record what you're listening to. With FM Radio you can learn while listening to educational broadcasts or laugh along with interesting stories on the radio
- Sharp AMOLED Display with 1.6M Colors
- The Z2 features a 3.7" (9.4 cm) AMOLED display that supports 800 MHz 1080p Full HD video and images without conversion. All you have to do is copy the video from your storage device to the Z2. The AMOLED display features excellent viewing angles and there's even an HDMI port for viewing high-resolution movies or online video content on a large screen HDTV
- HDMI TV-Out
- The AMOLED display ensures the finest video quality and it features an HDMI port, which you can use to enjoy Full HD video through a larger screen HDTV in a more comfortable environment
- JetVD
- Use JetVD to enjoy the most viewed YouTube content. Plus, popular videos, game leagues and movie trailers are available. And, all of these videos are free to watch and the search function is intuitive and easy to use. You can also choose the quality of the video before saving it and watch it anytime you desire
- Comix
- The Z2 affords popular webtoons and webcomics through the Cartoon Viewer menu. It contains a Web View function to flip through the Web browser pages as if you're reading an actual comic book - making for fun and entertainment even when you're traveling or commuting
- DOC Viewer
- Use the DOC Viewer to read eBooks or other documents. You can customize the setup for Auto Scroll. You can also customize the font size, color and line space. And, tap the word as you read it to access a dictionary page for a quick definition and understanding of any word
- Photo Album
- Browse through the photos saved in the device or look through them all at a glance using a thumbnail interface. You can zoom in and out of the photos and rotate their angles. Plus, click the photo to set it as the background image for the main screen or your address book
- Smart OS
- The Z2 is equipped with the Android Gingerbread operating system, which enables you to go online, use social networking sites and take advantage of various apps. Plus, surf the Web freely from any WiFi hotspot
- Kakao Talk
- Kakao Talk is a useful application that allows you to send messages back and forth with your friends without a smartphone. Just use the Z2 instead (WiFi hotspot required)
- The Twitter app has a convenient menu and simple design that's easy to use. You can follow everyone from celebrities to friends to coworkers. It offers an effective and convenient mode of communication
- Internet Phone Call
- Use the Z2 to make Internet phone calls without even booting up a laptop or desktop PC. You can even make international calls via a free Internet phone call feature (WiFi hotspot required)
- Google Search
- If you have a question, simply tap the search button. Google will show you the way to your answer by returning data gleaned from around the world
- Calendar
- You can sync the Calendar with Outlook to carry around your schedules from Office Outlook. Plus, you can set alarms on an hourly basis according to your schedule, while managing your time according to the dates and days using the systematic and effective Office Calendar
- Check your email from any WiFi hotspot or accessible wireless network. You can also attach files when composing emails, as well as read email you receive with files attached
- Address Book
- Save any addresses and contact info you want using the Address Book. Then, sync it with your SNS account or refer to it when sending email
- Picture Board
- Use the Picture Board to write short notes or draw simple pictures
- Easy Transfer of Large Files Over 4GB NTFS Format Compatibility
- The Z2 supports NTFS format for smooth compatibility with Android. NTFS enables you to transmit large files over 4GB to the device without a problem. You'll even be able to transfer large video files in true HD without needing conversion
- Task Manager
- Task Manager allows you to check out the currently running programs, installed apps and memory information. It aligns programs in use as a list for easy access and it offers a memory management feature to save battery power
- Extended Capacity via MicroSD Card
- The Z2's storage can be extended by up to 32GB through a microSD card. You can save large files without worrying about the device's internal storage capacity. You can also share the stored files with other devices via microSD card
- G-Sensor
- The Z2 uses an intuitive gravity-sensor to convert screens more conveniently. It automatically changes the screen modes when viewing album art, videos, documents and Web pages. This affords a more comfortable viewing environment for users
- Bluetooth
