The Sony NSR-500 16-Channel Network Surveillance Recorder is a reliable storage solution for network-based IP cameras. It allows you to record real-time video from up to 16 network cameras at a frame rate of 30 fps. Recorded video is compressed using H.264, MPEG-4, or JPEG compression formats at 4 Mbps for efficient storage.
You can select from RAID 1, 5, or 5 + hot spare configurations to best suit your business requirements. In addition, the NVR's hot-swappable capabilities allow you to quickly replace a drive that is full or perform maintenance operations, thereby minimizing system downtime. This recorder automatically detects the attached Sony network cameras. Subsequently, a dedicated setup wizard takes you through a simple step-by-step process of configuring these cameras, significantly reducing the time required for system installation. Furthermore, the recorded video feeds are assigned to a pre-defined monitor layout without the need of any human intervention. This cost‐effective NVR is not only extremely easy to install and configure but also simple to operate with its intuitive interface.
