I generally prefer to use only balanced audio cabling when I can, but let's face it, there are occasions when some piece of equipment or another doesn't have a balanced connector available (such as the AT 88W wireless microphones for example).
This quality constructed cable adapts those outputs to a transformer controlled and matched XLR cable connector, making the use of the non-balanced item a piece of cake.
These are well made, and belong in anyone's field audio toolkit in my opinion. Highly recommended.

When using this with the Audio Technica 88 system, I noticed a good bit of zoom servo noise. Maybe its the wireless receiver mounted to the top of the camera, but maybe its how the cable interacts with my XLR inputs just next to servo motor--and I do not have any other problems with any other XLR inputs from any other mic.

Work well. My only qualm is that the connection from the XLR pins to the cable seems a bit flimsy.

I purchased the Audio Technica PRO 88W system a year ago for use with the XHA1. The wireless kit's audio output was 1/8", but that was fine as the XHA1 has this port. When I upgraded cameras, I needed to convert from 1/8" to XLR, and this cable does just that. Great adapter!

I'm a wedding videographer so I use this with my camera and wireless lav system. I have a large camera that I use to get different shots and have a smaller camera on a tripod hooked up with this cable and the wireless mic system. The cable connects the two together perfectly.

Comments about Audio-Technica CP8306 Adapter Cable for Pro 88 W Wireless System - Balanced XLR Termination:
[...] I was confused about the cable because I was actually looking for a cable to convert the high-quality XLR microphone that I already have for use directly into the camcorder. I have since discovered that this is not the way to do it. However, this cable works great as an output cable from the Pro 88 receiver directly into my PA system that I use as a wedding minister.

I use this cable with my Pro 88W wireless mic and HVR-A1U camera. It does the job and is not too expensive. My only complaint is that the cable is too long. I keep the wire tie around it since I usually have the receiver on top of the camera. It would be nice if the cable was coiled.

I used this at an event we filmed with the Audio Technica Pro88 Wireless Mic.
Our camera has balanced audio and it's a better signal running through the XLR inputs.
Couldn't have done it without this piece of equipment.
