The J1458W Digital Camera (Black) from General Electric is loaded with features that make shooting friends, family and the world around you fun and easy. As part of the GE Smart Series line of cameras, the J1458W offers a number of smart features that simplify both standard and complicated shots. Smile Detection can tell when your subject is smiling and automatically releases the shutter at the right moment and Face Auto Exposure detects faces within the frame and automatically adjusts the exposure to highlight the face. Combine Smile Detection with Face AE and Red-eye Reduction to never miss your child's (or your BFF's) beautiful expressions. Also, after you've taken the shot, check with Blink Detection to immediately see who blinked and keep the group together for one more shot - it's worth it.

Auto Scene is a feature that will allow you to shoot complicated images without complicated settings. Just dial Auto Scene to one of the numerous settings that correspond to what you are shooting, whether it is fireworks, sunsets or children, and let the camera do the work.

Pancapture offers a simple method to get great panorama shots. No more shooting multiple takes and stitching them together later (or never!). Pancapture, with just one touch of the shutter button and a simple panning motion, will capture a single, complete image of a picturesque landscape or a long dinner table filled with relatives. The J1458W has expanded its focal range to be a true wide angle with a 28-104mm lens (in 35mm format) that will allow you to open up your frame to include more or zoom to an incredible 30x, with a combination of optical and digital zoom.  This nifty camera also incorporates digital image stabilization to compensate for any movement or shaking when shooting. Particularly helpful when shooting in low light or when zoomed out to 104mm, digital image stabilization will virtually eliminate blurred images.

The J1458W also comes with 720p High Definition video for the stories that are told better through video.
