The 320x240 resolution configuration ATAC 360 Magnetic Pan/Tilt Thermal Camera Kit from US Night Vision is a mobile thermal imaging device housed in a robotic motion control unit. The 320x240 VOx thermal sensor measures the heat signature within the field of view and enables the operator to see beyond smoke, dust, and fog obscuring the visual scene. Thermal imaging technology creates an image by identifying differences in temperature, making the Advanced Thermal Acquisition Camera (ATAC) capable of consistently operating in daylight, pitch dark, and dynamic lighting conditions.
The ATAC thermal camera's pan/tilt mechanism is wirelessly operated by RF remote control. The radio frequency of the remote control can be programmed to prevent accidental interference with nearby ATAC units. Complete 360-degree pan capability delivers panoramic situational awareness at the push of a button. Both the pan and tilt axes are driven by high-torque motors with encased metal gears, ensuring responsive, precise, and smooth camera motion.
This configuration of the ATAC 360 Thermal Camera includes a 7-inch Magellan RoadMate 1700 GPS that doubles as a display screen for the thermal camera. This system is plug-and-play right out of the box, permitting operators to seamlessly toggle between the RoadMate's GPS functions and real-time native resolution images of the thermal scene. The ATAC 360 is also compatible with the NightMIR master controller, which expands the functionality of the thermal camera to include digital zoom, selectable color palettes, manual gain control, reversible polarity, selectable crosshair reticle, and multiple output ports. The weather sealed housing, 30Hz refresh rate, and rapidly deployable-magnetic mount make the ATAC 360 a useful thermal imaging platform for law enforcement personnel and first responders.
