The 240 GB SSD 330 Series 2.5" (6.35 cm) SATA MLC Internal Drive from Intel is a large capacity SSD with speed and reliability on its side and with a slim-fit form factor for notebook hard drive replacement.
SSDs do not contain any moving parts and access speed is much faster than traditional spindle-type hard drives. You can boot your operating system in less than ten seconds, as opposed to waiting for a much slower hard drive, which could extend boot times to twenty or thirty seconds. Additionally, in a notebook, the lack of moving parts reduces the system's heat output, allowing for a cooler and a more stable performance. The 330 Series SSD uses the fastest SATA interface available, SATA III, for transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbps. It is also compatible with SATA II speeds of 3 Gbps. It provides sequential read speeds of 500 MBps and sequential write speeds of 450 MBps. The 2.5" (6.35 cm) internal form factor makes this an ideal replacement for a laptop drive.- Value Upgrade
