Ikelite 6016.21 Underwater Housing for JVC GZ-GX1 Camcorder

The 6016.21 Underwater Housing for JVC GZ-GX1 Camcorder from Ikelite is a waterproof case enabling you to shoot beneath the water's surface with your JVC GZ-GX1 Full HD Everio Camcorder. It has a depth rating of 200' (60 m).

The housing provides access to the following essential camcorder functions via mechanical controls: Power on/off, Record start/stop, Zoom, and Snapshot. The case is constructed from durable polycarbonate, which is clear to enable you to monitor the O-ring seal. Housing buoyancy is near-neutral.

You can attach optional 67mm macro lenses to the exterior of the housing's flat glass lens port. The optional Raynox DCR-730, DCR-731, or HDS-680 wide-angle lenses can be attached directly to the camcorder, inside the housing, when using the optional 9306 Dome Port or 9306.1 Flat Port. Macro lenses will enable extreme close-up shots, while wide-angle lenses increase your angle of coverage, allowing you to get close to your subject while fitting more in the frame. Both types of lenses cut down on distortion caused by the water, thus improving image quality.

To restore colors that get absorbed underwater, you can use external color correction filters. The 6441.41 blue water filter is included with the housing, and the 6441.81 green water filter is sold separately. The optional PRO-2800 LED video light has a brightness of 2800 lumens and a natural, daylight-balanced color temperature. It can also double as a focus light for macro shooting.

The housing is equipped with 3/8"-16 studs with 1.75" (4.4 cm) spacing for the mounting of the included aluminum tray and handles. The handles provide attachment points for lighting, as well as comfortable angled grips.
