The 4 TB SnapServer 210 NAS Server from Overland is an ideal choice for businesses with remote office locations that require RAID protection. Unlike most desktop NAS devices that are built for sharing consumer files and home media, the SnapServer 210 is a rugged, proven and a stable business-grade NAS solution. It provides out-of-the-box application integration and keeps your security and access permissions intact.
Easy to implement and manage, this compact and portable, desktop NAS is configured with 2 SATA II drives for up to 4 TB of storage capacity. It supports RAID levels 0 and 1 to keep your data safe. Built on the GuardianOS platform, the SnapServer 210 NAS includes everything you need to support business-grade applications such as Microsoft Active Directory integration. You can also manage it remotely using a SnapServer Manager, from a central console, along with other SnapServers. By leveraging Snap Enterprise Data Replicator (Snap EDR) software, data can be continuously, securely and efficiently replicated between sites over a Wide Area Network (WAN).
You can consolidate storage by hosting both block and file level data on your SnapServer 210 NAS system. It allows you to utilize common networking protocols for file sharing, collaboration and backup. You can also host database storage and virtualized servers on SnapServer iSCSI LUNs simultaneously.
The SnapServer 210 NAS provides local security for small infrastructures or joins larger networks that include complex security policies. It has full integration into Windows Active Directory domains, UNIX domains and cross-compatibility for mixed security environments. The SnapServer allows you to maintain consistent permissions for users with multiple system types, with minimal intervention, across your business infrastructure. It automatically stays synchronized with the full set of 30 distinct AD permission attributes. It also supports Windows-to-UNIX ID mapping and local permission management.
You can grow the SnapServer 210 storage pools by adding drives to the existing DynamicRAID sets. It can also be expanded by attaching the external, 2U, 12-bay SnapExpansion chassis. It provides a pay-as-you-grow-solution without buying more storage than needed at any given time. It also allows you to create an additional storage pool within each expansion chassis and allocate it as needed. You can scale a single SnapServer up to 288 TB while maintaining a simple and a provision-free management.
