Wildgame Innovations Elite 8 LightsOut Digital Infrared Game Scouting Camera

The Elite 8 LightsOut Digital Infrared Game Scouting Camera from Wildgame Innovations is a trail / wildlife camera with an 8MP CMOS image sensor. Its PIR (passive infrared) sensor measures changes in the heat radiating from animals that enter its field of view. As animals--or any objects--move, heat levels change, triggering the camera's sensor to capture an image. It's a stealthy piece of equipment, equipped with a 60-LED infrared flash with a range of up to 70' (21.3 m). The flash is invisible, so wildlife will not be scared off by any bright lights. The LO8 has a wide-angle lens, allowing for closer shooting while capturing more in the frame, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Capture still photos and up to 30 sec of video at 640x480 (high) or 320x240 (low) resolution--with audio.

The camera features a full-color TFT screen that allows preview, instant viewing of images and video and easy camera setup and menu navigation, and displays date, time, temperature, moon phase and battery information. Take advantage of Flextime+ Time Lapse Technology, enabling the camera to take a picture at set intervals. Redux Anti-Blur technology gives you clear images, even when your subject is in motion.

The Moon Phase Stamp feature links the current date to the phase of the moon on that date and imprints an icon on your photo. This is a useful reference, as it can help you determine whether particular animals are inactive at night when a full or nearly full moon is present, causing them to be more visible to predators. Also, if some of your nighttime photos seem to have a darker or lighter background, you can determine whether or not that was related to the brightness of the moon at the time of capture.

The camera is conveniently adjustable to fit virtually any tree for mounting. It's compatible with optional SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards up to 64GB (not included) for ample storage space. The 8 runs on 12 AA batteries (not included), and is also equipped with an external battery port for connecting the optional EBX External Battery Pack (not included), which offers additional battery power.
