Dynalite UNIJRG-PS1 One Head Package System (120VAC/12VDC)
This is a basic Dynalite UNIJRGPS1 Uni 400 One Monolight Kit. It provides a total of 400 watt/seconds of power.
The AC/DC powered Uni400JR is a versastile monolight. It can operate on standard 110V AC current. Connected to the included Jackrabbit II high voltage battery pack, the Uni400JR operates wherever AC power is not available or convenient. With a fully charged pack, up to 150 full-power flashes are possible... up to 400 at its lowest setting.
This kit includes a three-hour multi-voltage charger, necessary cables, and grid reflector.

I've had this kit for about a week, and so far I have lit a band in the middle of the desert at dusk, and lit the interior of a car in broad daylight. The dusk shot was a home run. The daylight shot could have used more power, but the light definitely helped. Perfect fill flash in daylight, or key light at night. I'm already dreaming of the fine art shots at night that I will use it for. I wish it had come with the cord I needed to use my pocket wizard--I had to order it separately.

This is a workhorse. Out of the box, it has what you need in terms of basic lighting. It's built like a tank, no frills design and just works.
My only con is that it needs a switch to turn-off the audible beep that it emits when it is recycled.
The included reflector makes the unit more efficient at throwing light than the typical Dyna-Lite head and you can attach grids without any adapter.
Great unit for in studio or location and even down and dirty quick location shooting. That's when you can add-on the battery pack and your all set.

I bought two of these with batteries from B&H. I've used them for many editorial assignments on location and in the studio.
Pros:
- shoot AC or DC, great options!
-Lightweight and portable
-Decent power, much more than a flash
-Nice unit for the money. You could buy two of these for the price of the 600B.
-The batteries that power these can also power some on-camera flashes or cameras.
Cons:
-I wish the reflector was designed to pack with the head, like many Canon lens shades turn around backwards and fit on the lens. Or, a built-in reflector would have been nice. For a portable head, it takes up room to pack the head AND the reflector.
-I wish there was a frosted glass dome over the flash tube. The flash tube and modeling light are very vulnerable when taking the cover and reflector on or off.
-I also wish there was an audible beep when the unit is charged with the battery. You never know if the batteries are dying unless you check the LED on the batter, but that is not an option for me in the middle of a high pressure shoot.
