The UA-55ES8000 55" Series 8 Slim Smart 3D LED TV by Samsung is a slim high-resolution backlit LED that features full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution, a Clear Motion Rate of 800, and integrated 20W stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus and SRS TheaterSound HD audio. It also features three HDMI inputs, three USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet port for online interactivity, along with a built-in browser.
The set includes all of the proprietary Smart TV functionality that Samsung is famous for. Features surrounding the Smart hub include the Family Story, which lets you share photos, videos and events with loved ones through the connected TV, and a Kids feature which will entertain and educate the younger members of the household. The Smart hub also includes Fitness, a wellness channel that monitors and manages your exercise and training regimen.
You can also purchase an optional Skype camera and use your Smart TV as a social media hub. You can make high-quality enhanced video calls directly from your TV. Other social media sites like FaceBook and YouTube can also be accessed through the Smart TV's Ethernet LAN port.
The three USB ports allow you to watch content listen to music or view photos from USB flash drives or portable hard drives. Samsung's AllShare Play also allows you to wirelessly connect to compatible devices through DLNA technology. AllShare can be accessed from any nearby DLNA device, like computers, NAS servers and routers.
