The Dinkum Systems FlareDinkum PRO French Flag Assembly gives you the functionality of a one-flag matte box at a small portion of a matte box's cost. For most uses, one flag is exactly what's required anyhow. Furthermore, the FlareDinkum provides immense efficiency and convenience as you don't need to move any accessories around to find a place for it -- just attach it anywhere, and the adjustable arm will find its way, with the flag at its head, to right in front of your lens. The arm features 13 links and is 10 inches long. You can optionally add more links for more length.
Using the Spring Clamp, the bottom portion of the assembly, you can clamp the FlareDinkum onto whatever part of your camera or camera rig you find convenient in each shooting situation. You can attach it, for example, to the camera's handle or to a rod, to anything as thick as an inch. With a very strong squeeze of the Spring Clamp, you can attach it to anything as thick as an inch and a half. The clamping teeth have rubber tips to protect whatever you clamp and the circular jaw is padded to likewise protect.
You're also free to remove the flag and replace it with an optional Dinkum Clamping Top, which is almost identical to the Spring Clamp and which will hold various accessories, like microphones, up to 2 inches thick. You can as well feel free to clamp the whole assembly not only onto your camera but onto anything anywhere.
