The SEQ2 from NuGen Audio is a linear phase, multi-band spline equalizer that is designed for use in a multitude of mixing and mastering applications. It is compatible with Mac and Windows and requires use of a host program that supports VST or AU plug-ins.

The SEQ2 full range 20 Hz - 20 kHz spline envelope type design allows you to draw your EQ curves freehand using your mouse. It includes basic frequency banding options to determine the number of control points and the distance between them, plus there are zooming functions for making finer adjustments. There are also standard high and lowpass filters, high & low shelving and optional spectral analysis visual feedback borrowed from the NuGen Audio's Visualizer plug-in.

The SEQ2 is a linear phase equalizer, which means that all of the frequencies across the spectrum will experience the inherent phase shift of passing through the filter at the exact same time. This is in place to ensure that the phase relationships of all frequencies within the signal are maintained and that the sound is not colored by the filter. In addition, the EQ features linked or independent L/R channel operation as well as scalable resolution modes to provide enhanced quality levels when the situation demands.
