The Dell Alienware X51 AX51-6154BK Desktop Computer is designed to give you the ultimate gaming experience while maintaining a compact design that can rest horizontally or vertically for maximum flexibility. The system features an nVIDIA GeForce GT 640 graphics card with 1GB of dedicated memory, which will keep up with the graphics-intensive visuals of PC games. Plus, a 3.1GHz Intel Core i5-3450 processor, which can also be overclocked up to 3.5GHz, is installed to keep everything running smoothly. The processor is supported by 8GB of DDR3 RAM memory to streamline multitasking.
The X51 also features a Blu-ray Disc combo drive that makes it easy watch Blu-ray movies and to install PC games. There's a 1TB 7200rpm SATA hard drive as well, which ensures you'll always have enough space for all your favorite multimedia files. For online multiplayer, the computer provides a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 jack for a fast wired connection. However, you can also go wireless with 802.11n Wi-Fi. Other connections include HDMI, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
The X51 has a Windows 8 (64-bit) operating system, which features redesigned Start screen. The Start screen features tiles that update in real-time, which provide faster access to news, weather forecasts, sports scores, social network updates and more. Windows 8 also focuses more on cloud storage as well as apps, which can be downloaded from the Windows Store. Plus, if you'd prefer the Windows 7 home screen, Windows 8 supports that as well.
