The AVerTV Express Mini PCTV Tuner Card for Laptops from AVerMedia is a DTV Ready compact and portable ExpressCard TV tuner. Through its high-gain antenna, it is capable of receiving HDTV Over-the-Air (ASTC), Unencrypted Digital Cable (ClearQAM) and FM Radio directly on your laptop at home or outside.
The AVerTV Express Mini is a 34 mm interface ExpressCard TV Tuner that allows users to enjoy HD Digital TV and FM Radio on their ExpressCard compatible laptop. With an included stabilizer, it can also fit perfectly into a 54 mm ExpressCard slot.
The bundled AVer MediaCenter software features enhanced PVR functions such as Picture Pause. With Picture Pause, you can pause the image, then continue viewing your program in real-time. Moreover, you can rewind as well as record live TV and FM Radio using the TimeShift function to avoid missing your favorite programs. With a 13 channel preview and unsurpassed PIP (Picture-In-Picture) technology, the AVerTV Express Mini provides additional user-friendly features.
AVer MediaCenter software features advanced real-time H.264 recording compression technology. This allows users to record TV shows in 320 x 240 resolution and upload and play them on their iPod / PSP or any other portable media player.
The AVerTV Express Mini features Windows Vista Premium certified drivers and a software encoder, making it a perfect match for all Media Center platforms. In addition, the "invisible" AVerTV Express Mini can serve as a bridge between your laptop and various AV devices such as gaming consoles, DVD players or camcorders via its unique dongle. It even comes with the Vista MCE Video Gaming Plug-in software that solves the latency problem when playing video games on Vista Media Center.
