The KMP-1000 Karaoke Microphone Processor from Marani features a microphone preamp, analog compressor, and digital microphone modeling designed for use in karaoke performances. The compressor has adjustable ratio, threshold, and attack and release times. The microphone modeling uses internal digital signal processing to emulate the behavior of various microphone models. The KMP-1000 also features a high-pass filter that is adjustable between 50 and 175Hz to reduce low-end frequencies resulting from the proximity effect. A 20dB pad helps to tame loud sources, and the digital VU meter can display output or compression level.
