The Vanguard ABEO AP-284 Aluminum Monopod provides a good compromise between the stability of a tripod and the speed of handheld shooting. Lightweight aluminum construction allows the AP-284 to weigh in at only 1.68 lb while it rises to a maximum height of 63.75" The AP-284 is all about speed of operation. It quickly retracts from its maximum height to only 23.25" in seconds thanks to its quick flip leg locks. An adjustable wrist strap secures the monopod while you grasp the comfortable foam grip. An included carabiner allows you to secure the AP-284 to your belt or backpack for walking or climbing. The AP-84's head tilts +/- 90 degrees so you can maintain a stable base on the ground instead of tilting the entire monopod. The 1/4"-20 mounting screw is convertible to 1/8".
