The 240GB Nexto DI Video Storage Air with Built-in SSD frees you up to shoot at length without having to backup your video footage or photos to a computer. A 240GB 2.5" SATA SSD is built into the device, offering backup speeds of up to 102MB/s in Fast Copy mode. Benefit from a 2.4" color LCD monitor for previewing your video clips with audio (PCM). Store files from a multitude of compatible memory cards--including SxS, P2, SD and CF--and then transfer the data to a computer via the USB 3.0 (backwards compatible with USB 2.0) and Firewire 800 interfaces. Supported file systems include exFAT, UDF and FAT32. The NVS-Air can simultaneously backup data to the internal drive and an optional external hard drive. Back up your video clips and pictures and then view them on your iPhone, iPad or Android device via Wi-Fi. You can even pre-edit videos on-location via these smart devices. An app enabling the NVS-Air to connect wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet is available for download.

- Color LCD
- The 2.4" color TFT LCD monitor lets you preview video clips with audio (PCM) via an audio jack located on the bottom of the device. A 3-pole earphone is recommended. When previewing the video, you can change the play speed from 1-64x
- Support for Multiple Memory Card Types
- Backup support for SxS and P2 cards via built-in slots. Adapters for CF and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards are supplied, as well. SxS, CF and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards are copied via the NVS-Air's ExpressCard slot. Cardbus memory cards--P2 / P2E--are copied via the Cardbus slot

- Supported File Systems
- Thanks to support for the exFAT file system, you can back up a memory card with files exceeding 4GB in size, such as an SDXC card. The UDF and FAT32 systems are also supported
- Simultaneous Backup
- The NVS-Air can simultaneously backup data to the internal drive and an optional external USB hard drive, for an extra copy and an extra layer of data protection. The power adapter or an external battery must be connected to the NVS-Air.
- Sync
- The NVS-Air can synchronize the contents of a folder on its internal drive with the corresponding folder on an external USB hard drive. This lets you quickly and safely make a secondary copy of the backup folder without a computer
- Wi-Fi
- Back up your video clips and photos and then view them on your iPhone, iPad or Android device via Wi-Fi. You can even pre-edit your videos on-location via these smart devices. The NVS-Air generates HTML index files that enable you to make cuts and attach comments to clips via your phone or tablet. Make your own edit list by dragging and dropping clips to bind cuts into a video. Export your pre-edited content to an optional external hard drive. Then, once back at your computer, use your editing software to quickly produce a finished video from the pre-edited content. Simply download the available app enabling the NVS-Air to connect wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet
- 3 Backup Modes
- Upon detecting the type of card inserted the NVS-Air displays 3 backup modes on the LCD: Fast Copy, Copy & Verify, and Safe Copy. In Fast mode, the device makes a new folder on the drive and copies all the files and folders stored on the card onto the drive. Copy speed is up to 102MB/s. Next comes the Copy & Verify stage, during which each bit of data on the memory card is compared to the copied data on the NVS-Air's internal drive. When Safe Copy mode is selected, the NVS-Air will verify prior to copying that the drive area where the data is going is safe. If a bad sector is detected a new safe area is found and Fast Copy mode begins
- Data Protection and Smart Management
- A motion sensor beeps to warn you that the Video Storage Air is being shaken, so you can stop this to prevent damage. There's also a free-fall sensor that powers off the device if it is dropped. A rubber jacket safeguards the unit against shock due to impact. Thanks to Smart Data Management, if an error occurs during backup, the error message will be displayed. The NVS-Air will automatically turn off to save battery power. When you turn it back on, you will be able to view the results of the previous backup and determine whether or not it was successful. Additionally, a quick or full Self Test detects physical errors on the internal drive
- Firmware Upgrade
- Download new firmware from manufacturer's website onto your memory card or the internal hard drive. Upgrade using the firmware update function of the NVS-Air
- Power Saving
- Automatically shuts off when not in use for a specified period of time
- Internal / External Rechargeable Battery and Multiple Chargers
- The NVS-Air runs on an internal lithium-polymer battery, enabling it to be used without a power adapter. The battery can be recharged up to 400 times and has no memory effect, meaning its full capacity will continue to be usable after each charge cycle. It also comes supplied with an external 3.7V, 6600mAh battery, which can be used to power the main unit or an optional external HDD. A power adapter, car charger, and USB 3.0 cable are included
