The C20-DW-6 Analog Day/Night WDR Camera with Day/Night Lens (NTSC) from Pelco captures clear and high quality images at 650 TVL resolution.
The high performance of the C20-DW-6 D&N (Day & Night) camera is attributable to the following features: WDR technology that provides a dynamic range 120 dB for capturing images under varied lighting conditions, including extreme backlight and low light; removable IR-cut filter to switch between color and B&W (Black & White) modes as environmental lighting conditions change and as the need for infrared sensitivity is realized; 0.13 lux minimum illumination; and slow electronic shutter technology to improve illumination performance in low-light environments.
The other features of this easy-to-install camera include autosensing power (24 VAC or 12 VDC with AC line lock or internal synchronization) and automatic gain control (AGC). This D&N camera also includes AWB (Automatic White Balance) for difficult lighting situations, digital noise reduction, and BLC (Backlight Compensation) that adjusts the picture to prevent objects from appearing dark because of strong backlight. It has built-in analytical capabilities including privacy zones, motion detection, and camera titles that add to its functionality. These fine-tuning features are easily set using the on-screen menus.
The C20-DW-6 camera has a standard CS lens mount and can be used with fixed, manual, or auto iris (DC drive) lenses. The iris is controlled through a standard 4-pin square connector that is included in all Pelco auto iris lenses. On-screen configurable menus can be accessed locally using the rear panel button or remotely using any Pelco controller with Pelco D or Coaxitron protocol. Use these menus to select a specific profile, customize and save camera settings for the specific application, and trigger alarm out functions.
The camera is equipped with configurable alarm in and alarm out functions for external devices such as IR lighting control, wiper operation, and local alerting upon alarm of an external device. This high resolution camera is ideal for critical security applications requiring the best analog images in all types of lighting and system configurations.
The purpose of Pelco’s 13VDIR7.5-50 varifocal lens is to compensate for the focus shift that results from the different wavelengths of visible and IR light. This IR-corrected lens focuses light energy on the same plane, which results in better focus, sharper contrast, and better overall image quality.
This D&N lens allows the camera’s imager to take in visible and IR illumination at night (when the IR-cut filter is not deployed) while eliminating the problem of IR focus shift. The 13VDIR7.5-50 lens is appropriate for indoor and outdoor lighting situations, and comes with a standard square 4-pin plug installed for ease of installation and convenience. This lens has a 6.7x zoom with varying focal lengths. The maximum and minimum aperture for the lens is f1.3 to f1.8, which allow for high performance across a wide range of lighting conditions. This lens has aspheric elements, which provide crisper, optimized images at all focal lengths.
