The Omni-Bounce creates a diffused bare bulb effect, giving even coverage across the entire frame, with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well). The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and goes onto and off the flash in seconds with custom fitting (except for UNI model) and no touch fastener. Designed for years of service without the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into a gadget bag or pocket.

Most agree that bounce flash pictures provide a more natural light than direct flash shots. One drawback, though, is the possibility of shadows under the eyes since the light is coming from above. (see picture) The Omni-Bounce allows the light to still head up to the ceiling for bouncing, but also directs some of it forward to fill in the shadows on the face. (see picture) The light is more diffuse and pleasing to look at.
I use the Omni-Bounce for almost all of the candids taken at weddings, and some light fill flash for close outdoor photos.
One thing I noticed was that it did not offer a wide enough diffusion for use with a 17mm wide angle lens and a full frame sensor camera. I did try a different product for that which was much larger and it did a good job. But for APS-C size sensors, or longer focal length lenses on full frame cameras, the Omni-Bounce did great.
Overall, you can't beat the size and the price for a gadget that makes an immediate, positive impact on your flash photos.

Diffuses light a bit too much for my tastes. I felt the light was way too soft and occasionally had a color cast, probably because the diffuse light reflected off everything in the room. I prefer the results of the Sto-Fen 2-way bounce flash instead. Its light is sharper and its height prevents red-eye.

This fit perfectly on my Canon 550EX flash and is quite snug. No problem removing it either. Used it for a portrait session yesterday and the results are great. Nice smooth fill, no harshness or shadows, and no red eye either. Simple idea, great results.

I personally hate using flashes because of the harsh lighting they usually give. In a perfect world, we'd all be able to bounce the flash off a bright white ceiling above our subject and achieve flawless results.
The Omnibounce almost gurantee's those flawless results and does it so easily, I cant figure out why the manufacturers dont include them or make them standard??
For anyone using a off camera flash, the Omni-Bounce should be in your camera bag!

Fits perfectly on the LumoPro LP160 Manual Flash
Does what it says, but don't be fooled into thinking it will soften your light. I used it to help spread the light into a shoot through umbrella so that more of the brolly is lit.

Outdoors, it seems good for close shots but was limited on large group photos. I have not tried it indoors yet, where it may have better application.

I purchased this for a wedding shoot I had coming up and it performed magnificently. It gave a very broad spread of light across the subject with sufficient diffusion so that it didn't look like a bare bulb flash going off.
It loses 1 star on account of how difficult it was to fit it over the flash head. Now I will make this concession, this model was designed to fit the Canon and Sunpak flashes while I was using a ProMaster Flash and that might make all the difference.
I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to others.

The OM-EZ Omni-Bounce works well in combination with a LumiQuest Pocket Bouncer. I haven't had it fall off of my 580 EXII, but it can be a little tricky to put on. Overall, it's worth it.
