I bought this for my Olympus E-510 DSLR camera, in order to mount and connect an older Radio Slave unit which requires a PC terminal connection, which the E-510 camera doesn't have (stupid design omission, Olympus). While this adapter is well made, it doesn't fit snugly into the camera's hot shoe -- at all. I had to put some tape on the bottom (only on one side, so that the body could still make electrical contact). It works, but if I were to start again, I would buy an adapter that has a screw to hold it down to the shoe. Also, I think they easily could have put a PC terminal on both sides, not just on one side.

I use this product in my college studio classes. It works great with my AlienBees cord and I had no trouble with it.

Allows me to trigger my Metz 45 flash from any of my cameras through the hotshoe. Great little product that does what it is meant to do.

I purchased this to trigger an flash off camera for my canon eos XSi. The unit seems sturdy, but if fits loosly in the camera hot shoe. I have to press down on it to get it to trigger the remote flash reliably. It will fall out of the hot shoe if not watched. I will replace the unit.

I bought this to go with my canon 580ex. I had to push the pins of the 580 up to try and fit it on this adapter once on it would not fire with my Pocket wizards. I am unhappy with this product maybe it works better with other flash systems.

Functions all right, but it's not very secure. Falls off light stand a LOT. Some duct tape would help, but if working in a professional environment, doesn't look too hot. I wouldn't buy another one, but it can work for now.

I purchased this to work with my Nikon SB-600 flashes and my Pocket Wizard Plus triggers. It would not trigger the flashes. I figured the shoe didn't match the nikon foot. I tried my, much-more-simple, Sunpak 383 flash and it wouldn't trigger either. I'm not clear what flashes this adaptor works with.

I baught tiis hot shoe adapter for use on my SLR Canon cameras in order to be able to use my big Sunpack flash with the cameras. A nice idea of a product, however in my case it was assembled poorly. There is a protruding ball underneath the converter that connect electrically to the camera flash output. The ball is supposed to have adequate spring loading in the rear. But in my item it didn't have any tension at all. That was because the actual spring was looped over the inside center pin.

This is perfect when you don´t have a PC socket on your camera. It is working fine but it can slide out the hot shoe sometimes just enough to loose the connection with the camera. I bit of duck tape can solve that. Beside that it works fine.
