Comments about Hama 77mm Screw-In Rubber Zoom Lens Hood for 24mm to 210mm Lenses:
Got this lens hood to use with a set of Tiffen Indie Pro 77mm ND filters. I was considering getting a matte box and using 4x5 filters. But it is really handy having something small and more manageble, not to mention about $1,000 cheaper.
This feels high quality. The male and female threads fit just right. I like how the hood can be lengthened and shortened depending on the focal length of your lens.
Must say it does make your rig look a bit cooler. Not matte-box cool, of course, but cool. And works great, didn't see any flare or vignetting.
Probably best to have a couple of these just in case. I'll probably order another one soon.

This hood began tearing Day Two of a two week vacation. After careful usage on the trip (no back-up) the tear is now half-way around. This hood will soon arrive at its final resting place.

Comments about Hama 77mm Screw-In Rubber Zoom Lens Hood for 24mm to 210mm Lenses:
I have been searching far and wide for a hood to use on my Minolta 28-135. Usually they vignette at the wide end. this hood, combined with a 72->77mm step-up ring is the perfect solution. It's a bit fiddly having to move the hood to one of three positions when zooming but I've been shading the lens with my hand for years so this is just what I've been looking for.

I love these rubber hoods. They work just as good as plastic hoods and can fold on them selves to make it fit in the camera bag.

Really useful when you want to use a Polariser and you cannot get your fingers in those Canon Lenshoods--just got to watch you don't unscrew the whole shebang as you rotate the Filter. Collapsible /handy virtually bash proof and doesn't damage anything it comes into contact with. Recommended.

Comments about Hama 77mm Screw-In Rubber Zoom Lens Hood for 24mm to 210mm Lenses:
I had bought a step up ring for my 18-200mm zoom, to minimize the dark corners. that meant the plastic hood that comes with the Nikon D90 wouldn't work. After reading about several options, this one which is flexible and has 3 positions is perfect. And as one other reviewer mentioned, it's nice to have rubber on the end of the lens to protect the lens when carrying around. We do lots of international travel, and this will help minimize damage while stored in the backpack.
