The Velbon Sherpa + 630 3-Section Aluminum Tripod is a sturdy workhorse that reaches a maximum height of 64.17" (163 cm) and supports loads up to a maximum of 11 lb. The recommended load is 8.8 lb. These tripod legs weigh just 3.68 lb (1.67 kg). Aluminum legs and magnesium components provide strength and light weight. Each leg is independently adjustable to any one of three angles. The detachable, reversible 2-section center column is ideal for low angle and/or macro photography, with a minimum working height of 4.72" (12 cm). A quick-release lever for the center column makes for speedy height adjustments. Each leg features a foam-padded leg grip that protects your hands when the metal gets uncomfortably hot or cold.
