The Tascam CD-200SB Solid-State / CD Player is a universal playback device for audio material available on solid-state media, including SD/SDHC memory cards and USB memory devices. It also supports playback from media on CDs (CD-DA, CD-R, CD-RW) and playback from file formats including WAV, MP3, MP2, WMA and AAC. Plus, there are 10 keys for accessing freely selectable folders from a solid-state source. The unit can also extract tracks from audio CDs to SD/SDHC/USB media in either WAV or MP3 format. This feature is great for archiving purposes or to make them more readily available.
The CD-200SB also features Single, Shuffle, Program and Repeat playback, Intro Check and Pitch Control. The system supports CD-Text and ID3/WMA/AAC tags as well, which allow artist and track names to be displayed on the unit. There is an anti-shock memory as well, which provides up to 10 seconds of skip protection. For outputting audio, there are optical and coaxial digital outputs, as well as balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA audio outputs. There is a headphone output with level control as well. A wireless remote control is also included.
